Kino Flo are acknowledged world leaders in fluorescent lighting technology for use in the movie, television and commercial photographic industries. From Mega fixtures, that uses 8 feet long TrueMatch tubes, to the tiny Micro-Flo system, that uses 4 inch long TrueMatch lamps, one can expect consistant and controlable high quality light source that renders flicker-free true colour temperatures. All that, at a fraction of the operational cost of equivalent HMI or tungsten lighting systems.
The light output of the ParaBeam 400 and 200 studio fixtures are about the same as a 2,000Watt and 1,000Watt tungsten light, respectively. But ParaBeams only use 1/10th as much power! Both studio lights use Kino Flo True Match® high color rendering lamps (CRI 95). Set up horizontally, the beam can actually be focused for lighting four people across a newsdesk. When used vertically it can be spot focused on a single subject.
ParaBeam’s features include: onboard and remote DMX dimming, remote phase dimming with inline accessory, center mount, parabolic intensifying reflectors, gel frame and diffuser, focusing louver, daylight or tungsten. At two meter's distance, the light output is 1507 lux for the 400 and 786 lux for the 200. The ParaBeams are fast becoming the industry standard in TV broadcast studios around the globe.
VistaBeam 600 & 300
The new VistaBeam 600 and 300 display a broad soft beam for studio and location lighting. The VistaBeam 600 puts out more light than a 4K quartz softlight (120VAC) but uses only 9 ampheres of power compared to 34 ampheres required for the quartz light. The more compact VistaBeam 300 is half the size of 600 and delivers more light than a 2,000 watt quartz softlight.
The VistaBeam series are designed to be a lightweight alternative to conventional studio softlights such as “chicken coops” and “space lights”. VistaBeams also do a better job ofilluminating interior and exterior sets with daylight quality light than HMI’s punching throughfabric diffusion boxes. Fitted with narrow spectrum blue or green visual effects lamps,VistaBeams are also ideal for composite screen lighting applications. With a wide range of accessories like remote dimmer, honeycomb focusing louvres, choice of 55K or 29K type T7 twin tube lamps, any desired lighting effect can be achived at a much lower operating cost than tungsten or HMI lighting.
