The Dedolight 100/150 series lights are the original ultra compact, precision lighting units with total beam control like no other light source. At any beam setting, from 4.6* (degrees) spot to 48* flood, these units give out precise even light distribution with no strays or variance in colour temperature - thanks to the twin-lens Aspherics2 (2 as in to the power of 2 or square) system. With many mounting options, including on-board a camera, the 100/150 series are the most versatile, rugged and reliable lighting units on the market for over fifteen years.

With a choice of lamp wattage, between 25w to 100w at 12V DC and 100w to 150w at 24V DC, these compact light sources are capable of given out more light than, say, a 300 watt studio fresnel. With a variety of power options, such as, 100 to 255V AC mains, batteries, automotive power, small generators, etc., flexibility is increased. No other light source on the market has a focus ratio of 20:1 (4.6" spot to 48* wide). Measured at 2 meters distance, the 24V/150w DLH4 produces an output of 1,000 lux at 48* Flood and 20,475 lux at 4.6* Spot. Similarly, the 12V/100w DLH4 produces 540 lux and 12,375 lux at Flood and Spot settings, respectively. Basic to comprehensive kits are available in 12V and 24V versions to suit any requirement. Key, fill or highlight, these lights will do the job perfectly. Dedolight systems consume as little as one-sixth the electricity used by conventional lights.

The DLH200D and the 200DSOFT are the newest products from Dedolight. The DLH200D is a 200 watt HMI daylight source that is a dimable and focusable. The unique Aspherics2 twin-lens focusing technology that we find in the 100/150 series is carried forward here. The DLH200D provides a broad range of direct precision lighting with numerous light-shaping options. All projection attachemnts and accessories in the 100/150 series are compaitable with the DLH200D.

The 200DSOFT was designed exclusively for use within four types of soft boxes. The lamp is placed in the focal center of the soft box and the surface of the soft box is perfectly lit. The result is a much higher light efficiency (more than twice the output than any Fresnel with soft box attached). Two sizes of softboxes are available for use with 200DSOFT.

Both units are powered via Dedolight's compact flicker-free DEB200D Electronic Ballast. Alternately, battery operated ballasts are also available with Anton-Bauer and PAG mounting plates or direct external battery (19 to 36 Volt DC).

At an overwhelming demand from the lighting professionals and users of the original 12V and 24V Dedolights, the larger 400/600 Series came into existance. Every feature found in the smaller lights have be carried forward to these lights, only on a larger scale. With a ratio of 20:1 spot-to-flood focusing range, no traditional fresnel even comes close! The 400/600 series range consists of DLH400D, DLH436 and the mains operated DLH650.

The DLH400D is a fixture for single ended 400 watt HMI/Metal halogen lamps used in conjunction with DEB400D electronic ballast. Fitted with a 400w (5600 kelvin) lamp, the light output measured at 2 meters is 3520 lux in 50* flood setting and 62,230 lux in 4.5* spot setting.

The DLH436 is low voltage fixture for 400W/36V halogen lamps used in conjunction with the DT36-1 power supply/control unit. Light output at 2 meters, fitted with 400w/36v 3400 kelvin lamp, is 2,172 lux at 56* flood setting and 23,350 lux at 5.5* spot setting.

The DLH650 is a mains operated fixture that can be used with 650w, 500w or 300w halogen lamps. With the 650w lamp (3200 kelvin), the output at 2 meter distance is 2430 lux in 56* flood setting and 25,320 lux in the 8* spot setting.

Dedopar

The Dedopar is a PAR light head that works with a Dedolight 400W HMI lamp and the Dedolight DEB400D electronic ballast. With the good reflector design and a focusing control, the Dedopar can be used as a standalone PAR light, with or without the supplied diffusion lenses.

With the reflector removed, and the direct/soft quartz glass attachment in place, it produces an even and pleasing light effect. The direct/soft attachment is UV filter and also acts as a safety device - when broken (or not in place), the light will be turned off. With a speed-ring attachement, the Dedopar is ready to receive any suitable softboxes from manufacturers like Photoflex or Chimera.
