CrashCam Industries of Los Angeles, CA introduces a new line of state of the
art, cylindrical crash camera systems for the SL Cine MkII, Arri 2C and Arri-3 cameras.
With the camera protected in a 24” long, 12” diameter tube it is the smallest
crash system of its kind using Arri-type cameras.
The cylindrical design not only provides for superior structural stability over
conventional crash box housings it also eliminates the need for multiple snoots.
And it will accommodate lenses from Panavision’s 10mm Primo and 28mm E
series Anamorphic lenses to the 180mm E series without vignetting.
The CrashCam system is built around technology from the industry’s leading
innovators all housed in a compact package: Sl Cine’s 35 MkII camera and low
profile magazines, Cinematography Electronics’ 2C motor base and Precision
Speed Control for camera speeds from 3-80 fps forward or reverse; Preston
Cinema Systems’ FIZ and Digital Lens Control.
You can remotely pull focus, adjust iris or change camera speed on a stunt shotall
without opening up the housing. Custom-made 200’ and 400’ magazines mean
you won’t have to reload with a false start or even after every take.
With optional microwave-linked equipment you can operate completely wireless
up to 3/4 of a mile, line of site.
A 6.5” color LCD monitor mounts on top of the housing during line-up of the shot
for easy viewing. As one second unit director commented, “I don’t have to bend
over anymore!”
CrashCams are designed for ease of use and adaptability. With a host of hightech
options previously unavailable to crash systems you can make it as simple
or as complex as the shot requires.
